Down Memory Lane

This Sunday the World Travelers went Down Memory Lane with Charley and June Kempthorne. They learned how to record their favorite memories. Charley and June started by asking them to draw their houses from an aerial view, writing notes in the margin about their favorite memories in each room. Then they asked the kids to journal a bit about those memories in their house. Afterward, everyone was given an opportunity to share what they had written. There was a lot of talk about baking and pets! To conclude, we went around in a circle, sharing our "favoritest" memories of all time. "Favoritest" may not be a real word, but their memories were really awesome - from getting a much desired doll for Christmas to a trip to Disney World.

In the nursery, the theme of the week was nature. The toddlers read two books about animals and insects in the wild and then went for a nature walk to find them. They also sang, drew, and played with toys. It was a busy morning!

We're looking forward to the camp out and canoe trip next weekend! Katherine will still be in the nursery for our younger friends.
